Sensational Stone

PROJECT INFO: The owners had raised their kids in this house and they were grown, so it was finally time for a kitchen update. They wanted to open it up to the living room on one end and the dining room on the other. We maintained a half wall on the living room end to anchor a loveseat. A small peninsula on the other end houses breakfast bar seating. We created a laminate-lined cabinet with a perforated metal door to house wet towels to dry, solving for a pet peeve of seeing towels draped all over the kitchen. A dark honed granite paired with the slate ledger stone backsplash gave a nod to the exact rustic vibe they were wanting. The storage efficiency we created in this kitchen brought it from a traditional past into a highly functional future.

“Emily did a fantastic job for us. Great design concept, wonderful suggestions for all kitchen fixtures, sink, lighting, etc. Her work crews were wonderful and perfectionists! We cannot believe how much our kitchen has transformed thanks to Emily. Hire her. You will be glad you do!!”
