Gran Millennial

LOCATION: Franklin Park, PA

PROJECT INFO: This unusually long galley kitchen was tricky to design and still promote ideal functionality. With a client who is a self-proclaimed “gran millennial,” we kept a traditional feel while still updating it to function as a modern kitchen. We found the perfect counter stools to give a nod to our floral studio owning client. She wanted to maintain the privacy from the dining room, while also opening the space to the family room. This prompted a redesign of the cabinetry and mantle around the fireplace. We also snuck laundry into the other end of the kitchen, which moved it up from the basement. A banquette eat-in table at the other end provides a less formal eating option. This subtle baby blue on the cabinets steals the show and puts the whole house in full bloom.
