Eclectic Colorful Colonial

LOCATION: Mt Lebanon, PA

PROJECT INFO: With a completely outdated aesthetic and a rundown plumbing/electrical system, this house needed a complete gut and some TLC throughout multiple rooms. We started by eliminating walls in the kitchen to expand the space. Then, we added a large 8’ island centered in the kitchen, providing ample counterspace and a prep sink. We chose cork floors to provide a soft underfoot, with a charcoal swirled veining that mixes perfectly with the warm backdrop. Next, we completely renovated two full bathrooms and a powder room. The home’s primary bathroom was reconfigured to create two separate vanity spaces, along with enlarging the shower with dual shower heads. We also created a walk-in closet by moving the entry to a hallway closet into the primary suite. For the home’s exterior, we painted and then installed all-new windows and window boxes to replace the existing rusted ornamental iron, giving an immediate boost to curb appeal.
